Completing on Friday and found problems!

As the title says, we are completing on Friday and moving to our new home, but as we had started to move furniture in our current house, I've noticed problems! I'm now worrying about the sale and not really sure what we are meant to do!
Problems include finding a damp patch in the middle of the wall which was behind my daughter's wardrobe (looks like penetrating damp after the recent rain) and when moving the sofa from the living room, the start of some damp problems in there too. I am really surprised as when the surveyor came I saw him taking damp readings and nothing ever came from it, so I assumed all was well.
We have already exchanged - what am I supposed to do now?

Perhaps condensation.
Open up and get air into rooms.
Perhaps previous owner drying on rad,s or internal clothes dryer.
Also check outside again as you did when viewing for anything amiss. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon1 -
Thanks for your reply, but the problems are in the house we are selling, not the one we are buying. I will air the rooms as best I can in the mean time. We genuinely did not know of these problems and the surveyor (as far as we know) didn't bring anything up so I'm quite worried now as the buyer moves in in 2 days.0

The surveyor actually put his damp meter on the wall behind the sofa so I'm so surprised about this!0

You shouldn't worry about this; the purchaser employed a surveyor and chose the level of the survey, so any complaint they make should go to him/her.The fact that these damp patches are behind furniture suggests that condensation plays a part, but it's not your concern now! At the worst, you should do no more than say you were unaware of this (probably small) issue if challenged, but otherwise say nothing.7

I think there was a post here recently with a similar issue, the seller found the problem as her furniture was being moved out on completion day. I don’t know what to suggest other than to air the room as much as possible. If they are on the same wall maybe check outside? Sorry I can’t be more helpful but I am sure you will have more answers later on this morning ...good luck1

Nothing. They had a survey - it’s ‘buyer beware’. I’d save your energy for the unexpected discoveries you’ll make in your new house! Good luck with the move.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.10

Thanks for the comments. Panicking less now and as some of you have said, I'm bound to find things in our new house! Still feel a bit uneasy about it though but I suppose there isn't much I can do at this late stage. It's just by chance we moved the furniture to clean or we wouldn't have found this until Friday!
We actually have a dehumidifier from when we had a bit of plastering done. I'll pop that on and see if I can draw some of the moisture out.4 -
Good idea. And try and leave a gap between furniture and walls where you can, particularly outside walls.0
