UPVC window in detached garage

Hello. I replaced a window in 2013 from single pane to double glazed UPVC. It is in a detached garage. I called the company today who installed it, who tell me there will be no fensa certificate as it is not part of a habitable building, so it wouldn’t have to be registered with FENSA. The installer wasn’t sure if I needed to contact building control. Nothing has changed in size, it was a straight upgrade to UPVC.
Does anyone know if I need to get this signed off by building control? I’m selling my house and I’m trying to find out before it’s raised. I have 7 windows and 6 certificates. Thank you

Nope, nothing needs doing, and there's no potential comeback from anybody.3

Even ignoring anything else, BR can normally only enforce breaches for a year. Not 8.1
