Car insurance claims problem
hi looking for advice. Currently have car insurance claim dispute going on . My parked car hit by wagon refused to give insurance details so opened claim with my insurance . Told car right off by engineer or could be fixed with ‘green parts’. Gave low offer on car 600£ below any car private sale like for like. Phone call from engineer saying could fix as had discount on new parts hubby agreed turns out garage not putting new parts on car so contacted insurance said they would put a stop on repair and arrange dispute review phone call then saying that isn’t process and will need to listen to call conveniently call not recorded and customer advisor who rang us said she didn’t care what we were saying about not agreeing to repair with green parts and that what engineers report says stands. Where do we stand???

If you are not happy raise a complaint. Be prepared for it to go all the way to FOS ( Can take months for FOS to deal given the number of complaints)Life in the slow lane0

I admit it is not a term I am familiar with but in context, "green" as a politically correct term for "used" seems likely.
Why are "not new" parts a problem? After all, the car did not have "new" parts when the wagon collided with the car?
The alternative seems to be that the car is written off. Is that the OP's preferred outcome?
What outcome is the OP seeking?0
