Hi,

Have any one used the Instant offer function on the Auto Trader website.

The systems quotes a Guaranteed price* for your car

(*Before the sale is complete, we’ll give the car a full inspection at a time and place that suits you. If there are any differences between the condition of your vehicle and the information you provide, then your final price may change. But if your appraisal was accurate, you’ll get the full quote, in cash, that day.)

We looking at changing our car and this is by far giving us the best return for our current car. 

I guess I just to make sure that it is infact "too good to be true!"

Just tried Autotrader with mine and the price offered was less than a couple of franchise dealers I walked in to and asked if they wanted to buy my car.  I have just sold mine on Motorway.co.uk where the offered price (by a Nissan main dealer, my car is a Nissan) is £1000 more than the walk-in dealerships offered.

One of the delaers said that according to Glass's guide mine had gone UP in value by £800 in the last month.

My wife Voluntary terminated her car some years ago and Manheim came to collect it.  Despite saying they would inspect the car before thye took it, the small print stated that they would be inspecting it in detail once back at the compound, so left us feeling vervous.  All worked out well in the end

Yep... It was over £2K less than I got offered on a PX....

Sold a car to We Buy Any Car last year and got more than we were expecting for it - although it was less than the original quoted price after they looked at it.
