Vinted member threatening daughter

Hi. My daughter purchased a pair of apple airpod pros. They came and they are fake, even though the seller said they were genuine. When she contacted the seller he made every excuse possible not to refund her,so she messaged Vinted. He had 48 hours to give her a return address or Vinted would automatically refund her. No address or contact was forthcoming so Vinted have refunded her. Immediately he messaged her to say send my stuff back or I’ll be coming to your house to get it. She’s reported this to Vinted, but what should we do in case he does turn up? It’s probably just a threat but she’s scared nevertheless.

I'd just say happy to post back to you, with the postage cost. If doesn't accept and carries on threats report to Police and Vinted.

If he does turn up demanding the airpods back, I would suggest that you give them to him and send him on his way. Then everyone is back in their original position.

If she's scared, report it to the police.
I wouldn't ordinarily suggest returning fake items but it might be easier to send them back signed for delivery. For the sake of less than a fiver it might be worth it to put her mind at rest.
The chances of him coming round are close to zero but that doesn't stop it being scary when threatened.
