My bank are adamant they will not be giving any refund on the travel pack - attached to my current account, I have been paying for the last 15 months but couldn't use due to covid. Is this fair?

Yes, probably. If you disagree, you’ve got 6 months from the date of their final response letter to refer it to the financial ombudsman for them to review, though set your expectations low and you won’t be disappointed when they come back and agree with the bank’s decision.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Is this fair?Yes.
I seem to recall a case which went to the FOS on that and they said that the fee buys a package of benefits, some of which may not be applicable for everyone and that does not mean you get a refund if part of the package isn't something you need.

You don't mention which bank, but I seem to recall simiiar threads earlier on in the pandemic where it was argued that for certain packaged accounts people could easily go and downgrade their accounts to avoid paying for additional benefits such as travel protection which would not be required during the lockdowns

You don't say which bank, but this came up as the top google search for Travel Pack
https://www.barclays.co.uk/insurance/travel-insurance/travel-pack/
Ongoing worldwide cover – trips up to 31 days long in the UK and abroad are covered with no need to tell us where you’re goingComprehensive breakdown cover in the UK and Europe

We are in our seventies, and due to unforeseen health not been able to go on holiday abroad for three years. Was looking at Caribbean cruise in dec and contacted my bank which frankly I don’t understand if I am covered for everything. The chap said as long as I don’t travel against the government it’s fine,if I get COVID before I go that’s fine but not if I get COVID on holiday0

Have you got a policy document?
I'm not clear what your query is - is it only in relation to Covid cover or is it relation to any of the health issues which prevented you travelling pre Covid.
The Policy document usually has a long list of pre existing conditions that will still be covered with no need to declare to the insurer (think they often call them "No Screen" conditions.0
