Home insurance renewal - past claims but rejected/didn't pursue

I became a first-time homeowner last year and unfortunately got a bit unlucky with a couple of instances of water damage (property less than 10 years old!).
- The first was a leak from the roof following particularly heavy rainfall which led to some water damage to my upstairs bathroom walls. This was reported to my home insurer, however following an inspection they rejected my claim as they put it down to "wear and tear". Ended up having to get a roofer in for a repair at my own expense.

The second was a leak from an ensuite causing water damage to the living room ceiling below. After some back and forth, the insurer offered us a settlement which was barely above our excess, so we decided not to pursue further.
I am now coming up to my home insurance renewal date and am a bit unsure as to how to correctly enter this experience in the quote forms. When it comes to completing the claims history section, do these events count as claims or not? If they do count - do I just enter zero for the claim amounts? I've not really been able to find any guidance on this specific query online.
Any help is much appreciated.

They are both claims that will need to be declared, the outcome doesnt impact if they are claims or not. If the quote form asks for the claim amount you would put zero for a declined or withdrawn claim.
Some insurers ask about incidents too, though this is less common for Home insurance.0
