Booking viewings with estate agents

I've arranged viewings on multiple properties with a few estate agents. I gave them a list of the properties I wanted to view but each of them only booked a viewing for me for one of them. Is this common? I'm not from the area so I am making a special trip there on the day and I'm hoping to fit as many viewings as possible. I tried to email the estate agents to confirm but so far they haven't come back to me yet.

They should have told you why they have only booked you in for one.  Have you tried calling to discuss?

Where are you looking?  We found in our area that we could only get a viewing if we called as soon as a property was listed or they would say they had enough bookings and would not be taking more.  It is possible that this is happening with some of the properties you are enquiring about.

there seems to be a fair bit of "multiple viewings at one property on a day" so they may not have the staff to go round a range of properties on the same day.
