hi booked a package holiday to malta. when we got to check in we were told the nhs app was not acceptable as prof of double vaccination. apparently there was some sort of glitch between uk and malta over the digital app which was fixed later in the day. anyway we could not board along with many other passengers. we could not get in contact with love holidays as they we not taking calls. also no email and online chat would not get past bots. we have now just managed to speak to some one. we have now been told that love holiday are not responsible and will be liable for any refund. they have however emailed suppliers to see if any are willing to help but say it will be unlikely. it seems wrong that you are unable to go on your holiday for no fault of your own and loose all of your money.

You were perhaps booked on the Air Malta flight that left 75 people behind who only had the NHS app and no written document? Malta has been a nightmare, they changed the rules 4 times in less than 10 days, they decided to accept the app the day after that flight.
Air Malta is state-owned and I would have thought since it was the state that made the rules, they would want to help those denied travel. I would be tempted to contact the Maltese Tourism Authority in London as this would not be good publicity for them, they have done well this summer with bookings but their rule changing antics have been a disaster.
Please nice, and ask for help, they are at Unit C, 14 Parkhouse St, Northfields, London SW18 1DD and good luck0 -
It is not Love holidays fault either, or the fault of the other suppliers.
Do you have travel insurance which covers you for being unable to travel due to government restrictions?0 -

But they are our only point of contact. Took 4 days to get through. Also not one update from them regarding status of our travel. Just emails saying they will contact us in order of departure dates. but never did.0
