Afternoon all
We had a bit of a day here yesterday and I think we are still in shock, first of all OH and I both tested positive for covid, no huge supprise really but we both feel rough. Then last night dd had a bath, I have said to her in the past to leave the door unlocked but I forgot last night, anyway we were downstairs and I heard a crash so went running up there and banged on the bathroom door, to hear dd muttering incoherently, I asked her to undo the lock and could hear her trying to but then there was an almighty crash and no answer from dd, I screamed for OH to come up, he had to smash the bathroom door to get it open.
Once inside I saw dd on the floor with a lot of blood aound her head, she had fainted and hit her head on the window sill and the radiator, she had knocked herself unconcious. I started calliing to her and rubbing her face and arms etc and after about a minute she came too but was very dazed and confused, there was blood everywhere, OH and I managed to pick her up and get her onto the bed, she was very confused and losing a lot of blood so I ran down to call an ambulance, I spent ages on the phone to them only to be told that they could not send an ambulance as they were too busy, so we then had to get dd dressed and into the car to take her to A & E as advised by 999, we got there and I explained to the receptionist that we were covid posiive but we were told to go in by 999, she was really abrupt with me and told us to wait outside (in the pouring rain) and she was still bleeding, we sat her in the car and luckily a nurse in full ppe came out very quickly, she took dd off with her and we were told to come home and call back in two hours, I called them after two hours to be told that dd had been given a CT scan, heart monitor blood tests and lung tests, and that she was just with the DR who was gluing her head and that we could come and get her.
We got her home and made her a warm drink and a snack and then I got into bed with her as she was not to be left alone, I did not sleep all night with worrying so am shattered today.
DD has a pounding headache and her hair is caked in blood but it could have been so much worse, the hospital think she may have had a tempreture spike which caused her to faint., thank goodness OH was here to break the door down too. I must say its the scariest thing to see your child on the floor unconsious and unresponsive it was completly terrifying.
Im just going up to check on her again and see if she needs anything.
Take care everyone and please stay safe xxx

Oh RUBY what a time you have been having recently. Your poor DD and what a shock for you and your DH. And isn't it fortunate your DD doesnt live alone - the outcome could have been so different. I hope she makes an uneventful recovery and you are all well again soon. Much love xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7
