Thank you all for your replies and advice.

I fear that part of my problem is not selling and making a loss!

As from all accounts the UK market is on a boom and perhaps peaking spring 2022 (Covid permitting?) I'm going tp hang on and take the next 1/2 dividends and see then if no improvement in sight, then the bullet will have to be bitten.

Many UK shares have already been rerated since last November. Financials are lagging the broader trends.

That was unlucky, especially as the stock market tanked today as well

I'm also sitting on a very big % loss on some Lloyds shares bought when I didn't have a clue what I was doing, and stupidly, listened to my husband's 'advice' to buy and add to the freebies. Strangely enough, he didn't follow his own advice :*

However, in terms of my whole portfolio, its a tiny amount so I'm keeping them as a stern reminder to Never, Ever, Ever buy single company shares OR listen to my husband on anything financial.
You need to Be More Badger.

Go out after it goes dark tonight and dig big holes in his lawn.  🤣
:D  :D:D  Believe me, I'm now Boss Badger in all matters financial (and many other areas aswell ;))

That's quite tempting >:) , but obviously, its also my lawn, so I'll pass on that one.

Bank results are notoriously difficult to comprehend as clouded by adjustments for provisions and exceptional items. The dust needs to settle somewhat.

Lloyds dust certainly takes a while to settle .

Personally I think those results are good enough to hint at jam tomorrow, whilst the predicted total dividend this year at 4% for the year is a good starter for 10. I am substantially but not recklessly (and profitably) invested and I think I will leave it another year
