If I set up a MSE energy account how do I access the bills that energy suppliers send me? (Where do I click once I log on?) Would it be online on the MSE energy account OR on the linked email account?

Only asking because someone else has dealt with MSE energy on my behalf in the past but I've never seen a physical bill and dont have access to the email account or online MSE account. I only have a direct debit. Thanks.

MSE has no link to your energy bills. That is purely between you and the energy company, you need to set up an on line account with them. Looking at your other thread there is more to this and you need to get advice, maybe your local CAB could help.

You can't set up an energy account as such with the Cheap Energy Club, it's simply holds you details and work out how much various tariffs would cost. You will have your own online account with your chosen supplier(s) which you access with a password that you choose. If you can find out your annual consumption in kWh someone on the forum will be able to do the comparisons if you prefer and make recommendations; you would just need to tell us the first part of your postcode but no other personal details. Otherwise start by comparing with Citizens Advice and 'Which? Switch' because they tend to be better.Either way, you would have to do the switch privately yourself. You might also find it worthwhile to look at the satisfaction ratings on the Citizens Advice website and also the 'Add your feedback on xxxxx Energy' threads on this forum.1

Gerry1, this is nothing to do with energy comparison but controlling behaviour by another individual - see OP's other post https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6282121/switched-to-more-expensive-tariff-by-angry-family-member#latest which you have already posted in.

Thank you...even if it is controlling behaviour (which I can't confirm or deny at this stage), I just need to get cracking trying to control my own energy bill rather than relying on someone else. Thank you so much for this answer though.molerat said:Gerry1, this is nothing to do with energy comparison but controlling behaviour by another individual - see OP's other post https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6282121/switched-to-more-expensive-tariff-by-angry-family-member#latest which you have already posted in.0 -
@Jcbah Could you describe where you live a little please ? A flat - modern ? - number of bedrooms; heating - gas ? or electric. Then we can give you some broad-brush indication of payments.
Is this other person an advocate ?
Just because someone else is setting up your energy suppliers it doesn't necessarily mean that you are going to get bigger bills than you would get if you did it yourself.
Are you all right in reading your meter ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -

Thanks for kind reply. It’s a kind relative who’s been helping me recently on MSE. We’ve had a rift in the family and I’m only suspecting he might move me to a higher tariff out of anger as my current tariff is ending soon.Robin9 said:@Jcbah Could you describe where you live a little please ? I agree with you that I can’t assume that I’d put myself on a better value tariff especially as he’s done this for lots of people.
Reading meters is fine by me.
thanks for your kind offer though and I might post again this week. Thanks again.0
