Software to rotate photos to correct leaning building syndrome?!

Several of my photos have leaning buildings or sloping horizons because I've tilted the camera slightly. Is there freely available software which can correct this by rotating the picture a few degrees?
(I could do with a built-in spirit level or plumbline on my camera!)
Any advice appreciated.

I would try Google Picassa - it's mainly for storing and organising your photo collection but it's got some great simple correction tools - one of them specifically for photos taken at slight angles. It'll place a grid on the page and let you rotate the photo until the parallel lines match up with ones on your picture0

As above, most good image editing software ought to do this. Photoshop Elements certainly does.
However, prevention is better than cure. Does your camera have the ablility to superimpose what I can only describe as a "noughts & crosses" grid onto the viewfinder? It is an aid to composition (The Rule of Thirds), but is also useful for just keeping things on an even keel. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Many thanks to you all for providing more than enough solutions!
Stephen - thanks to you I have discovered the grid-lines option on my camera which I will now always have on!0 -

Now read up on that "Rule of Thirds" and watch the overall composition of your photos improve dramatically. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

I've now had the chance to try Irfanview, Microsoft Photo Manager and Picasa2 on my wonky photos. By far the most user-friendly and speedy was Picasa2. I'd certainly recommend it for anyone who wants to perform the most common editing tasks quickly (eg straightening pics, red-eye correction and sharpening focus).0
