My father passed away 13/06 my brother and sister have sold his car and taken all the cash my sister has found a Lloyds account with £8500 in she had gone to the bank with a death certificate and ID to close the account and request the money is transferred to her. She is not the next of kin but Lloyds have accepted her word saying she is next of kin they have told me today the money will
go to her within 10 days on this account she has not added me or my brother as a beneficiary and is taking the money for herself. I want the money frozen and not released to her Lloyds have asked me to call
back Monday to see if they can do anything to stop it but from what they can see on the system it’s to late. Is there a way I can stop and dispute this I don’t understand how Lloyds can just take someone’s word even if she’s the second oldest child surly it should go to probate? Is there anything I can do to stop this please?
