Am I needlessly worrying about changes made to listing

House was listed for OIEO 450k. We offered 475k (based on research of comparable properties and sold prices, we thought it was fair for the house). Offer was accepted.
A week after, property is now showing on the EA website, Zoopla etc at OIEO 475k.
While I understand the vendor actually has no obligation to sell to us at this stage (which sucks, and makes for lots of anxiety on my part), I was hoping that the listing would just remain untouched. It seems like this change suggests the vendor is still looking for a better offer which really worries me.
Am I worrying about nothing? Or am I perhaps worrying about the very likely possibility of getting gazumped but there's also nothing I can do about it anyway?

I would always make an offer on the basis that the vendor cancels further viewings and stops marketing the property if my offer is accepted (marked as "under offer" or "sold STC"). Otherwise as you said, it can lead to being gazumped.0

It is marked as SSTC, and all viewings were cancelled (we viewed Wednesday, they only really wanted to do viewings on Saturday, all of those were cancelled when our offer was accepted).musehead said:I would always make an offer on the basis that the vendor cancels further viewings and stops marketing the property if my offer is accepted (marked as "under offer" or "sold STC"). So maybe I am being silly about it but it's still up on Zoopla etc (even though with "SSTC") and thus the change...0 -
If it's listed as SSTC I think you're definitely overthinking things. I wouldn't worry about it.0

Phone the estate agent and ask what is going on.1

Maybe they've changed the price in order to benefit their other properties advertised in the same area?? Reel people into bidding nearer the higher price2

Even though further viewings were cancelled they could have had viewings before you that have offered. And the vendor can always change their mind and get more viewings in.
IMO Sounds like the vendor is looking for more money, maybe they have assumed it’s worth more because of your offer. ?If I had offered more I always say that offer is subject to it being taken off the market, today.
you could try telling their EA that your offer is subject to being taken off the market and you want the MoS processing and ask what is the hold up.0 -
We were the first viewing (as far as I know... of course they could lie to me but essentially they were due to have an open house and we begged to go early, caused a few problems the EA cocked up our viewing dates but essentially we ended up being shown by the vendor on very short notice who was still sorting out repairs to their patio and doing garage clearout etc so I doubt they would've been open for viewings for anyone else).tdawber said:Even though further viewings were cancelled they could have had viewings before you that have offered. When I made the offer I asked for it to be removed. They removed it from their own site but it's still up on Zoopla/RM with SSTC.
Maybe time to email about the MoS.0
