I've had the message in My EBay to say I need to upload documents. I only sell a little and use it mostly for old cds. (Personal use only)
I'm nervous about sharing documents, I sent my car tax but apparently it wasn't accepted. I don't feel comfortable with birth certificate or driving licence and my passport has long since run out, I even had hair in my picture lol. Any advice as we're constantly told not to share documents online? Help/advice appreciated.

Not to share documents online, that doesnt really apply to well known companies. Now if a random email said we
need your documents then fair enough.  But a company you with to do dealings with that involves money it seems
to be more common.

Don't send them and stop selling is another option?

Yes this is for the new managed payments, I didn’t have to share documents though - just add my bank account and get it verified. There is another thread here about it
