change euro into pound sterling

To change a few thousand euros into pounds I go to a local bureau de change that offers very good rates.
I will soon transfer 100k euros to a UK high street bank (foreign currency account). I need to find a safe way to exchange euros into pounds with good rates. High street banks don't usually have good rates and charge for a commission.
Thanks

Again, sorry. I didn't use the correct words. The money will go as Euros into Barclays foreign currency account. I will change it once it is in the Barclays euro account.eskbanker said:0 -
You can still use one (or more) of the currency transfer specialists to exchange your money. Another option is Starling Bank. You just send your Euros from Barclays to the Euro account with Starling or Wise etc, then exchange with them. I don't know whether Barclays charge you for transferring Euros to another Euro account. Some companies do (e.g. Wise would).1

My euro account is with Barclays, here in the UK, and they will not charge me to transfer.
I think I will transfer the euros to Starling Bank as, being a bank, is covered by FSCS. And probably exchange euros into pound sterlings with them.

Use Revolut, they have been great at transfers in multiple currencies and have the best rates0
