DCBL Letter of Claim after 5 1/2 years

Yeah, you did. I'm just so confused by all this and feeling a bit panicky at the thought of having to find hundreds of pounds that I just don't have. I'm self employed, on a low income and have spent hours and hours not earning any money at all while I've been sorting through papers, reading forums and trying to understand my position over all this.
The level of intimidation from them is very worrying.
Today I have emailed Excel to ask for an SAR, and also emailed DCBL to ask them to put a hold on everything, and also to request details of all claims they have against me, as per the instructions in post #2 of Newbies.
And I will indeed keep an eye out for the discussions that are expected soon.

Good, looks like you are on top of it. Did you state that you were seeking debt advice (although you deny any debt) in line with the pre-action protocol for debt claims 4.2 when writing to DCBL? Presumably you submitted a SAR to the Data Protection Officer of Excel asking for all the data they hold on you and all or any PCNs outstanding?1

Forget about the ParkingEye charge, that's going nowhere. Concentrate for now on the Excel one. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Once I get the info from the SAR request, what am I supposed to do with it all? How does any of it (whatever it is) help me?0 -
You read it and look at the pictures of the signs and the letters and parking notice, what the allegation and evidence was. It is pretty obvious why you want to see the photos and letters.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry, I'm really not being picky here, but I honestly don't know how to use whatever they send me; I've never done anything like this before.0 -
In the first reply you received on this thread on 9 July at 3:10PM I gave you a link to the second post of the NEWBIES thread.
In there you will have seen the full court process - including writing a Defence, writing a Witness Statement and gathering evidence.
Please read that again and look at the examples shown and all will become clearer.
There is even a 'what happens when' post linked from there which will surely help you.2 -
It’s a rare newbie who has done it before, but seeing their evidence sooner than you would have done otherwise, obviously helps you write meaningful facts in your witness statement.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
