This message is directed across some of my unsold items very randomly and inaccurately. It relates to knitting patterns which are listed correctly with the correct size and number of pattern etc. Seems the Ebay robots are out in force. The listing ended because the ending came to an end and not because there were no buyers.

Yes, I had that on one of my auctions that ended. Not sure why only one was picked out from a similar few? Plus it had ended normally - THEY hadn't ended it!0

I had one BIN listing started on 6th June with 98 sales 816 views and 24 watchers and another started on 28th June with 40 sales 245 views and 10 watchers removed by Ebay on 8th July with the message This listing ended because there were no recent sales. Please improve your listing before you relist it.
Ebay madness.1 -
I had the same on 2 listings - I just re-listed with 'sell similar'1

I have had a few of these recently, quite oddly on items that have been automatically relisted1

I had this on a couple of mine that I finished early but it has now vanished.
Ominously, I think this is something Ebay are trialling behind the scenes and it has accidentally leaked out. A future update will be stating that if an item doesn't sell with a certain amount of time, Ebay will reserve the right to cancel the item.0 -
It was already announced about 4-5 years ago- no idea where it is in any of the help pages though - but it was shortly after BIN listings went from 30 days to GTC , at that point it was announced that after a certain period (12 months?) visibility would be reduced if item hadn't sold, then after another period (18 months?) it would be automatically de listed. That was for BINs but we all know eBay announce one thing and actually do something similar but not what was announced.goodfella66 said:I had this on a couple of mine that I finished early but it has now vanished.

I was always mindful of that on my BIN listings in my business account and would often end listings and restart them a day later, and I never allowed my auctions to re list automatically. For my private accounts it is done automatically by me anyway as each time there is an offer I block end everything and just re list - as I have just done for this weekends offer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ebay's poor use of English, it just means the listing ended without any sales so please tinker with your listing to make it more appealing. Basically Ebay are saying it's the seller's fault it didn't sell, hence causing many sellers to lower price, add best offer, ship globally etc in bid to 'improve' their listing2

I wish they'd do it (accurately of course) on some postcard sales.0
