Public Foul Gravity Sewer under property

I am a first time buyer
and I have just received the searches back from my solicitor for a semi detached property that I am looking to purchase. The searches indicate that there is a “public sewer, disposal main or lateral drain” that runs through the property. Based on the key in the search document, it appears to be a Public Foul Gravity Sewer.
Based on everything I have read online, it sounds like the presence of the sewer itself is not something I should be concerned about unless I plan to extend the property. I have a few questions nonetheless that I would really appreciate some answers/advice on.
Firstly, should I be at all concerned about foul odours? Or is that simply an illogical concern?
Secondly, will the mere presence of the sewer negatively affect the value of my property or my ability to sell it in the future?
And lastly, I apologise but I seem to be unable to post images along with this post so I’ll do my best to explain the layout. The sewer runs across the property behind the kitchen and then across the neighbours property to connect to a sewer on the side street. We did have plans to extend the kitchen into the backyard if we purchased the property. That would put this sewer right smack in the middle of that possible extension. The neighbour has extended his house and it would appear he may built over the sewer. So I’m assuming if he managed to get permission to extend, I might as well. But I realise that’s not a guarantee so I’d really love some advice on whether or not I should be going ahead with this purchase. I appreciate it is difficult for you guys to advise me without seeing the plan so, once again, I do apologise for not being able to upload a picture of it.
