iPhone messages sent as email

Any ideas how to chamge my daughters phone. If she has no wifi or data the message is supposed to go as a text but for some reason hers goes as an email? It’s not for just one contact either. Have done the settings iMessage off and send as SMS but I can’t see anywhere it says send as email?!

Under Settings, Messages, Send & Receive, make sure just her phone number is selected and de-select all the email addresses.  Try that.

Are you sure the recipient is actually a telephone number? Difference with Apple's Messenger is that users can set up a telephone number and/or an email address to be used and so clearly if the recipient is set up as an email then the fallback for a failed iMessage is going to be email rather than text.

The window you are seeing is a long hold popup and doesnt mean its gone by email.
