Employer Health Cash Plan

Hi! I have two jobs, and they both provide health cash plans through different companies. I was wondering if i could claim on both for my dental for the same expense. I've read the smallprint and there doesnt seem to be anything i can find that says i cannot claim twice.

I know for general insurance and PMI it is difference and they expect you to split the cost between all policies but as far as i can see this isnt the case with a cashplan.

Appreciate any advice on this as it would be great of i could claim twice so to speak for the same dental claim.

Thanks :)

why would you claim twice for the same problem? is that not fraud? Why not just go with 1 provider?

That is what i am trying to ascertain; if it is fraud i would not do it. As I mentioned; with PMI and other insurance products the small print is clear - you cannot. With a cashplan you can however claim on PMI and your cashplan for the same treatment. That is legal,  permitted and very common.

However I am unclear if i can claim on 2 different cash plan policies legally as these are not insurance policies and not underwritten. To repeat i would not do it if illegal. However should it be possible to claim twice on two different plans through my two different jobs then financially i would be better of. That is what i am trying to find out. So is it possible if there is nothing in the small print, or is it not permitted? Thanks :)

It's an interesting point, I can't find anything in the conditions for my own cash plan which prohibits you from claiming if you've also been reimbursed from another source.
