Sony Tv Remote Vs washing machine - who won?

Didn't realise that the Sony TV remote was tied up in the sheets for washing. Big surprise to find it still working after 40 Degrees wash cycle.
So well done to sony for making this one washing machine proof.

Anyone else have any unusual items that survived the washing machine?

It seems as though the washing machine is broken as it did not let enough water in to fully soak through the sheets so the middle where the remote was just stayed warm and dry.

Just giving another possible "take" on this...

Usual electronics work after getting wet . but a few weeks later fail due to corrosion on joints .
