Double Redirection

Hi -
We have always been in houses a long time but we took on a renovation project last year and took out a 12 month redirection from old address (address A) to new address (address
.
We will be moving again very soon and we do still have the odd letter come through via the redirection from address A but we will need to set up a new redirection from address B to address C that we are moving to.
How do we need to go about this? Do I amend the redirection set up from address A to now go to address C? And then set up a new one from address B to address C?
I'm sure it's a common occurrence but I've never done a short move before.
Thanks!

I expect a redirection from B to C will pick up everything (though with the delay by the extra step in the process).0

Ah ok thanks I did wonder if that would be the case and they are double redirected that way.user1977 said:I expect a redirection from B to C will pick up everything (though with the delay by the extra step in the process).
So I guess if so I can just renew the first redirection for a further year to be on the safe side.0 -
I've just done the same thing. Redirected for 12 months but ended up moving after 6 months. When you read the faqs on royal mail website it says they don't redirect a redirected letter. I called them up and they cancelled the first redirection and changed it to my new place. So now have 2 redirections in place, both to new house.1

That's really helpful thank you. So I do need to what I thought, change the first redirection to go from address A to address C and then set a new one up from address B to address C.capsy87 said:I've just done the same thing. Thanks so much @capsy870 -
I've been in three properties in the past year. Royal Mail double redirected my post from A to B to C where I am now. Obviously there's a delay as the post has to go via several sorting offices but I've received post with two stickers showing double redirection.0

I was a bit confused about this too and got it wrong. I was selling at auction in the March, and moved into a rental in February 2020. I sold and completed in May. I'd set up the redirection from my house to the rental for a year from May 2020, and completed on my purchase here in March 2021. There were a few months left on my original redirection, I paid for another redirection for a year from the rental to my new purchase here.
Luckily my lovely postie from my old house/rental stands next to my new postie at the sorting office and hands over any mail that's been missed. No pools win yet!£216 saved 24 October 20140
