These have been left in my garage by the previous owner, any idea what they are?

Thought they might come in handy for doing some car maintenance.

I don't think they're anything car related. Can't see how they'd help at all in maintaining your car.

I'd hazard a guess that they're for a ladder or access platform, for working at heights.

I bought a folding ladder some years ago and a set of these came with it. I've never actually used them but ISTR they clip onto the ladder to make a more secure platform to stand on.

The embossed perforated plate seems to have a lip at one end which raises that end up about 1.5 inches.  My first guess was a low kerb ramp, but then what is the light-weight frame for?

I am not surprised you did not use them.  I cannot imagine how they would be useful since they protrude out.  If they faced the other way behind the rungs they might be of some use to hold a paint pot on in the ladder mode.  Sticking out like this they look like a hazard rather than a help.  Probably just a marketing gimmick.

Yes, I never really liked the look of them and wouldn't feel particularly safe using them. The folding ladder itself has been very useful but some of the accessories that came with it, not so much, and are currently taking up space in my garage. I perhaps should have left them at my previous house like the OP's vendor did!
