Universal Credit housing costs application timeframe

Hello! In July 2020 I was made redundant from my job of 18 years & forced to claim Universal credit from Sept 2020.
At the time i first applied for UC I was staying with my parents and had no housing costs.
However in April 2021 I had to move out of my parents home & into my own place.
I updated my UC journal & explained that I now needed additional UC support in the form of housing costs to pay my rent. I uploaded the documentation proof (tenancy agreement etc) within the deadline I was given & have no outstanding 'to dos' on my online UC journal.
This was all completed on the 15th May but I still havent received any news about the housing costs or received any payment. I've been paying part of my rent with the living costs portion of my UC payment so getting through each month is a massive struggle. I've been really lucky that my new landlord has taken pity on me & accepted partial payment of rent as he knows I have applied and am just waiting to hear back but he cant wait forever!
i've contacted my work coach via the UC journal twice since May to ask how its going but have had no response.
Does anyone know if there is a general timeframe between submitting updated UC housing costs to an existing claim to receving the first payment?
Many thanks!

It should only take about 2 weeks for Housing to be verified once you have supplied the evidence,  So something seems to have gone wrong.  You should not still be waiting for any Housing to be added and any payment that may be due.

Send 2 journal messages, one to query payment which will be go to the Case Manager in the Service Centre and the other to your Work Coach.  You could go into the Job Centre and see if they can see you to resolve this.  Also you can phone 0800 328 5644 to ask for an urgent query to be raised.

If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
