Loose bolt on kitchen sink (it won't tighten)

The bolt on the base of my tap (as highlighted in the attached image by the red arrow) has become loose. This will not tighten, as it cannot "grip" onto the section of the tap it came from, directly below it. I tried to contact Blanco who make the tap, but they say they cannot offer advice, nor can they provide me with any sort of technical documentation/ installation guide.

Do I have to dismantle the tap in order to reattach it? (Obviously I would switch off the mains supply before doing this)

    1. The base of the spout will have one or two rubber rings (to seal hot and cold) and possibly a white nylon washer.  The white nylon washer may be (deliberately) split.
    2. Taps off.
    3. Remove spout.  Probably a grub screw at the rear to loosen, but may not have given nut attachment.
    4. Make sure rubber ring(s) are properly seated on end of spout.
    5. Make sure any split in nylon washer is in line with any grub screw.
    6. Clean inside of place where spout goes.
    7. Lubricate rubber rings and nylon washer.  Silicone grease is best, Vaseline will do, washing up liquid at a pinch.
    8. Firmly push spout into body of the tap, making sure rubber rings and nylon washer are within tap body.
    9. The above should give you the ability to screw the chrome nut back onto its threads.
