Am I entitled to a refund of postage when an item is defective?

Hi, first time poster seeking help and advice.
I bought a set of bath taps online from Homebase Rooms Limited (which trades as Bathstore). My plumber fitted the taps but they would not turn off (likely a problem in the ceramic catridges) and I had to purchase another set for installation.
I tried to return the defective tap set to store and was told they could refund the cost of the taps but not the original delivery (Homebase don’t have a code to enable to refund delivery charges apparently), so instead at their advice I went away and I phoned the Bathstore helpline number. Shaun (customer service advisor) similarly told me it would only refund the cost only and not the original delivery charge.
Is this correct under the Consumer Rights Act 2015? Can a business deliver a defective item and refund only the cost of the item and not the postage?
If I am legally entitled to a refund of postage, can anyone point me to the specific part of the Consumer Rights Act that confers this right to me?

If they are accepting it back as faulty, then you are entitled to a full refund, including the return delivery cost.No free lunch, and no free laptop
