    Which, if bought from somewhere like JL, would have had a 2 year retailer warranty anyway. Or maybe a Bosch, with a 2 year manufacturer warranty?
    These policies are awful value, especially on white goods such as fridge/freezers, which generally do not go wrong. if you must buy them, never ever purchase from the retailer, because they mark them up typically 100%. Buy direct after the manufacturer cover expires, if you must.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
