Missing indemnity policy

An indemnity policy was in place when we bought our property. The vendors paid to increase the value of the policy to the amount we paid for the house.
My house is now in the process of being sold and going through my paperwork I can't find a copy of the policy.
If its asked for by my buyer's solicitor, would we just pay for a new one?

Are you using the same solicitor as when you bought? If so they may have records.0

I wanted to use the same solicitor I used when I bought this house but they're not taking on new business right now.
Do you think they would have a copy if I contacted them? It was 8 years ago though.0 -
Worth a try. We used the same solicitor and they still had the file in their archive after 12 years0
