landlord insurance

Options
I am a tenant who gets UC and have a dog ,my husband works full time but we still need help with rent.
Have a 15 year history with one landlord with excellent references.

we have been looking for a while and not having any luck so trying to be more appealing (if I can get past the estate agents).

we are already offering 3 months rent up front and a professional carpet clean when we leave plus plastic matting in hall way.

we were wondering about landlord insurance,  is this more expensive , was wondering whether to offer to pay the difference.

Any other tips to get a house

thanks

No, assuming you're referring to having a dog, it makes no difference to the landlord insurance.

I'm talking about rental insurance that pays if I don't,   do landlords get this,  is it more expensive if I get UC.

the last estate agent I dealt with said insurance is a problem with benefit tenants,  is she lying,  I'm a tenant so no idea on this stuff

"Insurance is a problem", as in you cant get it full stop for benefit tenants, not just that it is more expensive.  (Assuming we are talking about rent guarantee insurance).
