Didn't quite know where to put this so hope this is OK.
This is a heads up if you have like my DH a Barclaycard credit card and also a Barclays Bank Account.
He tried to make a purchase on his Barclaycard yesterday and they wanted to send him a verification code to his mobile. The mobile number they quoted was his old number so it wouldn't work.
He went into his Barclaycard account to check his mobile number and it was up to date with his newer one.
Had to ring Barclaycard in the end and she told us she could see both his accounts and the Barclays Bank account hadn't had the number updated.
So despite using his credit card they used the number off his bank account for verification which didn't work of course.
In case you're wondering, he never uses the bank account as it is my account but his name is on there as a joint holder, so he forgot to change the number.

I used to bank with Barclays when I was 15. Then closed the account when I was 17. Last week I’ve tried to login into Barclaycard’s website and I chose to received a text with a verification number as I didn’t know the last 3 digits on the back of the Barclaycard. They sent the verification number to one of the numbers I had when I was 16. Despite not having a Barclaycard at the time (obviously).I’ve re-opened a Barclays Bank Account at 19, with the number I have now.On the phone with Barclaycard they could see all the numbers I had of when I was 15 to 17.Weird.1 -
I've posted about this before. Even though your Barclays current account and Barclaycard account are shown together in the app, you have to update your phone number and email address separately. I changed my email address in the app for banking, but had to log on to the Barclaycard website to do it for the CC.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.1
