Hey I am looking at putting vertical blinds in my Conservatory but have seen some that are thermal , Does anybody have them ? And noticed any difference with them or is it a gimmick as vertical blinds will still have gaps at top and bottom?

You'll feel next to no difference in comparison to the normal vertical blinds to be honest. Main thing is just to make sure that they're good quality, we went with blackout vertical blinds from makemyblinds.co.uk and they've been excellent.1

The gaps top and bottom are surprisingly large when you are trying to keep something out like light, heat or cold. I know because I've tried.
I think the effect will be minimal. If there's a small difference in price its worth a go but don't expect any dramatic difference.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I made the mistake of buying 'thermal' roller blinds. The side facing the window has a shiny plasticy coating which is supposed to reflect back the heat but since I only use them at night there is not much heat to reflect back. Any benefit is minimal in my view and I will soon be replacing with normal blackout blinds.

Thanks for replys , The ones I have seen are from Blinds to go Called Thermatex Vertical blinds, I didn't think they would make a lot of difference maybe some when heatings on in winter the heat probably would bounce back in when closed, They claim 78% on the site . And think they will be blackout naturally too.
I guess will come down to pricing0
