5th seiss turnover

Options
Hello my husband is self employed and has just received an email regarding the 5th seiss grant. It says about comparing turnover from 19/20 and 20/21. He only started self employment August 2019 so hes 19/20 self assessment is made up of both employed and self employed earnings (only 8 months of self employed income) so I'm unsure how to work out hes turnover for 19/20 to compare to 20/21 if he's 19/20 turnover is only for 8 months and mainly throughout winter which is he's slowest work period? Both self assessment have been submitted April 2020 and April 2021 as he's a bricklayer and he's tax is through the CIS system so he submits every April and claims he's overpaid tax back.

If anyone could shed some light on this I'd be very grateful as information is very limited
