Vodafone broadband contract end date

I recently changed broadband provider to Vodafone after seeing the offer for superfast fibre on MSE. I applied nearly a month before the end of my current contract to avoid missing out on the offer and selected an activation date of 02/07/21. However Vodafone have only just put the plan details online and I notice that the plan starts from when I applied not from the activation date. I complained via chat (as that's the only way to contact them) and requested to speak to someone to discuss the issue. The agent stated that it was in the contract T&Cs. However they relented and quickly agreed to change my contract end date to the activation date, otherwise my contract would have been 3 weeks less. Please be aware of this and check your plans if you have recently moved to Vodafone. I have been with them before and this didn't happen then.
