Extra nursery hours

Hello all my son is 2, 3 in January and the health visitor says he's showing signs of a delay (with speach and drawing a straight line lol) not sure what element it comes under but it's one whole thing he's failing on or not quite up to speed with, he's had a hearing test come back 100% (HV referrd us to audiology)
He's been Refered to peads and he's failing on 4/5 elements they look for
Just wondering if there's any way to get extra nursery hours for him he currently goes 1 till 4 Mon and Wed's which we pay for and get the 20% relief from the government (Tax free childcare) we both work over 30 hours a week and make over 20k a year each.
Any ideas would be welcomed, the HV has tryed to apply for somthing but we earn too much
Thanks Richard

There's 30 hours of free childcare when he reaches 3. https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare I don't know of anything else other than Universal Credit, which can pay up to 85% of childcare costs. Whether you're entitled to any UC though will depend on your circumstances (including partner). UC is a means tested benefit so you claim as a couple. If you have savings/capital of more than £16,000 you're excluded from claiming.A claim for UC will end any tax credits you may already be claiming. Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator/Intro/Home?cid=e33f97fe-91cd-4d4f-9e49-5e8e313efbaf

Not that i'm aware of. There's a disability benefit called DLA but for this he needs to have more care, attention and supervision than a child of the same age that doesn't have a disability. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/disability-living-allowance/before-you-claim-dla/check-if-you-can-get-dla/

We're in the process of claiming for that while we wait for a pediatric assessmentpoppy12345 said:randombetas said:Yes we can just was wondering if there's any help available if he's struggling to develop
