Selling to Buy

Hi All,
We accepted an offer on our property around 9 weeks ago. Our buyers were waiting for us to find a place which we have and we had an offer accepted around 6 weeks ago, our mortgage has been approved and searches are on the way. Our buyers have still not had their mortgage approved and the seller’s EA is putting a lot of pressure to hurry the chain along. Our own EA has put our property back on the market for the time being to see if we have other buyers who come in and our seller’s estate agent also said we should put out property back on the market. Our seller isn’t buying anything so the chain ends with him. My concern is the seller pulling out the longer this takes, but he knows we are very serious about buying thier property and have had our mortgage offer as well. If he goes back on the market it would start the process again and all the time spent would be lost. Has anyone been in this situation and do you have any advise on how to get our seller to wait even if we have to find another buyer?
