Stuck abroad because of covid and need some advice.

Hi, I am a UK citizen stuck abroad because of covid (outside Europe) and I'm about to lose my UK address due to a forced house sale. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do for a UK address for banking, insurance and general transactions until I am able to return to the UK sometime in the future? I have read that banks wont accept a PO box as an address and I am uncomfortable changing my main address to a friend or relative.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

You will have to use a relatives address as only a UK address is enough BUT that still might not help if a credit check shows you are not registered to vote there.1

There are companies set up to provide the service you want. Companies like ukpostbox and mailboxuk. They are legitimate and some offer mail forwarding via email.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Yes we had our mail forwarded when abroad. Takes ages to reach you. But would a bank accept it as his address?0

AIUI, there are no countries from which a UK citizen can't return from (unlike, eg, Australia's rules) - they will just have to pre-test & quarantine in an approved Hotel
ETA: could you set up mail redirection from your previous address to a PO box as a temporary measure while you sort things out?3 -
You can get your post redirected by Royal Mail, to a PO box.
This doesn't change the address the bank has for you (although not telling them if you no longer live in the UK may be a breach of their T&Cs)
Of course, you then have the issue that you can't access the PO box until you are back in the UK, and you may struggle to meet the requirements to set one up in the first place.
All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)1 -
