Graphics cards with HDIM out, anyone using one ?

I was thinking of getting a new card for my smallest pc box which could be called mdeia pc sized. But looking on Ebuyer there seems a lot of cards that have hdim out and not many reviews of any of them...

Anyone using one for watching HD on a TV ? I've a Samsung 32 inch that can go to 1080p

The pc is more than up to it, 2 gig ram, terabyte hd, dual core cpu, etc...

Any recommendations for a pcie card ?

  • doesn't really matter if it's got hdmi out as you won't get sound from the gfx card and so as long as it has dvi out you can use a dvi->hdmi cable.

You say your TV goes up to 1080p - is that it can display that ie has a resolution of 1920x1080(or more) or it can translate it - if it's the latter then you don't need as powerful a system, if it's the first have a look for gfx cards with onboard hd decoding abilities as it'll take alot of strain from the cpu.
