Surely they know what account the money was paid into?
They will know what account it was paid into, but if that account is in the OPs name that does not really help. It will take time to tie up the fraudulent bank accounts with Bank A, with the fraudulent loan with Bank B.
So even if the OP did as they asked and provided bank statements of their real accounts, they'll just say the OP isn't revealing all their accounts.
depending on when this was, the credit report usually shows all your current accounts so even if they tried to claim OP was hiding their bank accounts, they could show their 3 credit reports again proving it wasn't their account. The bank that received the money might even have ID / signatures on file to show how it was opened and signature not matching would be helpful to the case.

People claiming fraud in cases like this usually means family members and the person expect the loan company to just forget the debt and leave it at that, OP actually involving action fraud is a big point in their favour (even if in this case the fraudster is not known)
