We saw the house today. It was as excepted: nice volume, high ceilings but dated and in need of TLC. The potential is definitely so we made an offer slightly below asking price. They had a total of 26 viewings today... it's a tough market for buyers. They should get in touch with us within the next 48h and will probably ask for best offer.

When SD comes back and furlough ends it will be a different market, the PTB are desperate to get people off the free money teat and paying tax again, hence the reckless and too soon attempt they are going to make to open up IMO. I think people who loaded up on mortgage debt to save a few thousand on SD will regret doing that in many cases.

We've just been asked for our final and best offer to be submitted by tomorrow noon. They apparently received 7 offers and we are not “miles away” (EA speech obviously). Unfortunately no option for a second viewing which is a bit annoying...

So in the end they accepted another offer. We would have not offered more for that house so no regrets. No information on how much the offer was for. A little disappointed but this is just the beginning for us. We are viewing another house in the same area on Tuesday. Thank you all for your support!
