Pre-Departure PCR Test Madeira Jet2

Hi All,

I am trying to find some advice regarding PCR tests for travelling to Madeira, who are currently on the green list, whilst flying with Jet2.

When looking on Jet2's website it states that anyone who is fully vaccinated will not require a pre-departure PCR test and does not require one for under 12's. This is the requirements as per the country we are travelling to which happens to be Madeira.

However I cannot find anything on their website stating that Jet2 require a pre-departure PCR test so I'm assuming that if I am fully vaccinated I will not be required to do a test to board the plane?

I have tried contacting them however they will not answer emails/calls as we are not flying until 23rd July.

Has anyone flown with them recently or had confirmation whether this is the case and we would not require a PCR test to fly with Jet2?

You don't need a test to board the plane. 

If you're fully vaccinated you don't need a test to enter Madeira. However, if you present a test (an NHS one will do) you will be eligable for a free test on your return which you can book on the Madeira Safe website. 

Otherwise, LFT tests are available freely in Funchal at Pharmacies for a fixed price of 20 euro.

This is what I thought as I had checked the Madeira website as per your link and the Gov website too and they all say the same. However, I just seem to have this niggling memory that I had heard that the airlines would require a test regardless of whether you are fully vaccinated.

Although I would of thought that they would of put this on their website which I cannot appear to find apart from the country requirements.
