Universal credit

Hi all
My wife is coming to the end of her 6 months job seekers allowance and is presumably about to go onto universal credit and I have been on the government calculator and because of my wages and our savings as we are both also over 50 and have also always worked she is due nothing. Little bit annoyed as she has always paid tax and never been a burden until she lost her job due to covid. Have applied for numerous jobs but she hasn't even had an interview so far.
Basically just wondering if their is anything she can claim other than the marriage tax allowance?
Thanks in anticipation

You don't "get put onto UC" as it's a means tested benefit then claiming is will depend on circumstances. If you live with a partner you claim as couple. If you have savings/capital of more than £16,000 you're exclude from claiming.Unfortunately, paying tax for all those years doesn't automatically entitle anyone to benefits. As UC has replaced all other means tested benefits then there's nothing else she can claim.UC monthly amount for couples (with at least 1 being over 25) is £596.58 per month, which has been increase by about £86 per month due to covid (due to decrease in October 2021)If you don't rent your home then you wouldn't be entitled to anymore than this anyway even if you weren't working.1
