Unable to install latest version of Google Earth or am I?

I have a chromebook. The version of Google Earth appears out-dated. There isn't an option for GE app in Playstore for chromebooks. The Pro version could be used if there was Linux on my device. Am I stuffed? or does anyone have a suggestion please?.

Are you having issues with the version you have? If not then what is the problem?

Google Earth running on a Chromebook (when you don't have Linux enabled) will be the browser version. By being "out of date" do you mean the version of the Earth program or do you mean the images/data that's being displayed?0

Whatever version of Google earth you have the images come from Google over the internet. They are not stored locally. If the imagery is out of date then there is nothing you can do about it because that is the imagery Google has for that area. In some places the images are old and some places they are new.

As said above, if the images are out of date then it's because Google hasn't updated them. Our overhead view was updated last year but the street view is at least 13 years old.
The same where we used to live (we moved eleven years ago). The overhead view still shows our car in the drive and the street view shows our caravan which we sold about 15 years ago.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1
