DWP overpayment recovery
Comments
-
Rightsnet forum has many posts involving claimants being paid ESA or CA arrears and then having to deal with UC overpayment - made much harder to disentangle because of the overwriting of prior UC statements.JIL said: I think its reasonable that he should expect DWP to have offset in the background.
Obviously I have no knowledge of the circumstances the OP is asking about. Worth noting that in many cases an arrears payment of ESA will not result in an equivalent overpayment of UC because the retrospective ESA award may also require the recalculation of previous UC payments to include LCWRA.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
