i have grown some from seed for the first time, they have multiple leaves on them and i did pinch some of the leaves when they first started growing between the stalks.
however, they grow back from where i pinch them.
should i stop pinching them now and let them branch out
Nice to save.

You can if you want to.Tomatoes do the same thing. I don't normally bother with taking out the side shoots on chillies, I leave them to their own devices. Treat them mean though, a smaller pot that you think and less water than you think.

They are sending out side shoots nicely and look very healthy.
When you water them do you use Tomato feed? That will encourage them to flower/fruit.
If you are growing indoors you will need to pollinate them with a paint brush. It's a sucessful method.

Chillies are self pollinating so you could dispense with the brush and just the flowers a little shake [or the whole plant]. If you are growing a variety with small chillies, a bush looking typ of chilli, then leave the shoots. If you're growing something with large chillies, and are worried it won't fruit well, pinch out the shoots in the armpits.
