What happened to honest John website?

Am I allowed to mention the above website? If not please remove.

In the past I used to enjoy checking the used car reviews to look for good and bad points of buying a certain car. Have now been leasing cars for over a decade.

Nephew wants to buy a used golf. Had a look at the above website and found that the link for reviews for used car are dead. You can only get reviews for new cars.

I did a search on internet and found that the website has been taken over and there has been issues. Is this true?

Can someone recommend me a website to find the good and bad points of a certain model? Any common problems etc.

Honest John has run an advice column in the Saturday Telegraph for many years now and is a must read for me. Last Saturday, however, the column was hosted by somebody else, but there was no mention of Honest John retiring. I really hope he is back soon.

I noticed that and thought it was quite odd that nothing at all was said by the Telegraph.

Honest John has gone into administration. It continues to operate but I've noticed it's not being kept up-to-date i.e. new cares aren't being added to the real world MPG site.

The column was (sadly) dropped by the Telegraph last year and their motoring coverage is significantly worse IMO but the site is still there (honestjohn.co.uk) and there are 2022 reviews on it and up to date news and answers to questions. This thread is quite old and AFAIK nothing has recently changed.
