Same Day Exchange and Completion with HTB redemption

Hi everyone, wasn’t sure if this sat in exchange thread or not.
The 3 solicitors in our small chain FTB>US>Vendor(no chain) have agreed to a same day exchange and Completion which I know is very common these days.
I’m wondering if anyone has experience of how the help to buy redemption part works? I’m concerned it’ll hold things up.

We are expecting the authority to completion arrive tomorrow (completion on 9th) but having experienced generally slow service from target, how much of a risk or delay is there? Or have people found it’s worked fine without issue?
Thanks in advance

Just ring target if the authority to complete doesn’t arrive tomorrow - they should be able to email it there and then. I didn’t exchange and complete on the same day but had about a week between which is a lot less than the 15 days notice they said they needed in the redemption pack. In my experience if it’s straightforward they are able to sort it out over the phone and happy to do so. Provided you have that authority to complete I don’t see why it should cause any issues.1

Ah thank you, yeah hopefully that will arrive tomorrow. I was just concerned about the process of paying Target the redemption fee on the day and the waiting for the charge to be lifted off the registry and any delay it could causefirsttimesellerldn said:Just ring target if the authority to complete doesn’t arrive tomorrow - they should be able to email it there and then.
