id be a nervous wreck waiting for all to get sorted0 -
In my experience, the vast majority of ISA transfers go through without issues. I had one go through today from Assetz Capital to Proplend that completed in under 3 days. Of all the ones I've tried, transfers out from Vanguard have been exceptionally tardy.1

I have always found Vanguard to be very good.I have transferred a cash isa from Hailfax in and one from L&G recently both done within a couple of weeks

Vanguard were terribly slow and inefficient with transfers out for myself and spouse in last year. Not using their platform again!Only beaten by the disaster zone which was Interactive Investor and a six month drawn out process to exit following their takeover of The Share Centre.0

I finally got Vanguard and Coventry talking to each other, after huge delay and my ISA transfer is going ahead. I'm working on Nationwide ISA transfers now. Also delayed by about 4 months, so first up:Phoned Nationwide and they were significantly less helpful than Coventry. First person I spoke to point-blank refused to give out the email address by which they accept transfer out documents. They told me it's 'internal' and I'm not allowed to have it unless I'm a ISA provider. Said there was nothing on the system about any transfer request.Messaged Vanguard asked for proof of the email request they'd sent out and details of where it went. The response was as unhelpful as usual, and heard nothing for a few days so....Phoned Vanguard, interestingly this was my first phone conversation with Vanguard, and the person I spoke to was - as others have suggested - a lot more helpful than the online support. They gave me this secret nationwide.co.uk email address that I'm not allowed to have according to Nationwide, and the time and date of the initial transfer request, and an individual's name who had been CCed. Armed with this useful information I...Phoned Nationwide, this time I got someone who was a bit more helpful and was at least prepared to give me out an email address that they believed to be for transfers. They also checked to see if the individual mentioned by Vanguard worked for Nationwide, apparently they didn't. The email address was different from the one Vanguard gave me. So now I had two ISA transfer out email addresses, one from Vanguard, and one from Nationwide, so in order to attempt to resolve which one was the correct one I...Phoned Vanguard they explained that there's an online DB called TISA, which all providers have access to and they had retrieved the nationwide email address they emailed from this DB. They assured me that they were using the correct email address and the likelihood of Nationwide having registered an incorrect one on TISA was almost zero (they'd never be able to do any transfers at all) so the one given out to me by Nationwide was probably wrong, or they hadn't updated their systems. Now I knew about the TISA DB, I...Phoned Nationwide I explained that I now had two email addresses, one in TISA and the other not. They explained that I'd been mistakenly given out an internal email address that was for their own staff to contact the ISA team, and nothing to do with incoming transfers at all. So the one used by Vanguard was indeed correct. Also, they confirmed that the contact given by Vanguard did actually work in the ISA team, so they would contact them and check to see if they'd received an email at the time and date given by Vanguard. So that's it for another week, next update will be next week, and on we go....
