Hello I live in a rental and have found a huge wasp nest in my garden. I’m paying for someone to come out today as I have dogs and can’t use the garden. Can I claim back from LL or should I just pay it?

it should be your landlord's responsibility in my opinion. have you already made him/her aware? if you pay without informing them, they could say they won't reimburse you. maybe better to get them to arrange it.0

I haven’t because it’s the weekend and I won’t be able to get hold of someone at the agency. I only noticed it yesterday when there was a massive swarm in my garden. He’s normally pretty good with repairs your probably right though I might just have to pay.0

If its a swarm, it is more likely to be bees; wasps don't swarm.
Can you get close enough to check? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Sounds like the small brown honey bees, get in touch with a local beekeeper and they'll collect them.£216 saved 24 October 20142

I had a wasps' nest outside the kitchen window of a rental flat in North London. I told the landlord and he got me to sort a pest control guy; I paid but landlord reimbursed1

Try your council as well. They might do it for less than a pest control company.1

You cant normally see wasp nests as they usually nest in the ground, inside rotten trees or in building cavities. The sudden appearance cereal of a swam would indicate bees rather than wasps. Wasp will swarm around a nest it they are threatened but will thickly get on with normal business once the threat has gone.3

Check your tenancy agreement. What that says goes, unless your landlord is generous and will agree to pay even if it is your responsibility. Tenants are often made responsible for dealing with most common pests.
I agree with others, a 'swam' suggests bees not wasps. Did you actually see the nest, or just a clump of wasps/bees in a tree/hedge etc?

If it's bees, who have you paid to come out? I hope not an exterminator. Please call a beekeeper3
